FORTS AND PALACES - SOUTH

Day – 01 – Bangalore
Arrive Bangalore Airport where our representative welcomes you and escorts you to the hotel. Freshen up and leave for a guided tour through the picturesque ‘City of Gardens’. Visit Tipu Sultan’s Palace, the summer residence of King Tipu Sultan built in wood and tastefully adorned with intricately sculptured arches and minarets. Proceed to the famous Nandi or Bull Temple, one of the oldest in South India, Lal Bagh, Ulsoor Lake, Cubbon Park and Vidhana Soudha - headquarters of State Legislature and Secretariat. Stroll through Venkatappa Art Gallery, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Vishweshwaraiah Museum and Utility Building before proceeding to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day – 02 – Bangalore – Mysore
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Mysore. Enjoy spectacular sights of Tipu Sultan’s capital city Srirangapatnam, home to splendid monuments, Channapatna Toys Center and Ranganathaswamy Temple on the way. Reach Mysore and transfer to hotel. After lunch, leave for a sightseeing tour through the ‘old capital town’. Visit Mysore Palace, an architectural beauty exemplifying the grandeur of the kings of the time. The flood lit Brindavan Gardens and Krishnarajasagar Dam at night will leave you spellbound. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day – 03 – Mysore – Ooty
After breakfast, leave for a guided sightseeing tour. Spend fun moments at Zoological Gardens, one of the best zoos in India, and then visit Shri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery to witness a rich collection of ancient paintings and musical instruments. Proceed to the serene St. Philomena’s Church, one of India’s largest churches beautifully built in Gothic style. Chamundi Hills, abode of Goddess Chamundeshwari, the deity of Mysore royal family, is an important pilgrimage site. Evening drive to the picturesque Ooty hill station. Transfer to hotel upon arrival for overnight stay.

Day – 04 – Ooty
Spend the entire day at ease exploring the inexplicable beauty of the scenic resort Ooty. Leave for post-breakfast guided sightseeing tour to Botanical Gardens, home to rare trees, shrubs and a wide variety of beautiful flowers flanked by a serene Lotus Pond. Proceed to Dodda Betta, the highest peak in Ooty, lush Conoor Tea Gardens, Dolphin’s Nose, the favorite picnic spot offering stunning vistas of Catherine Falls, Ooty Lake, Lamb’s Rock and Kodanadu’s View Point. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day – 05 – Ooty – Bangalore
Early morning, check out of the hotel to drive back to Bangalore. Proceed to the Airport on arrival to board the onward flight back home
